Aim and Scope

The INSIDE journal provides discussions from various angles in various disciplines related to design, including interior design, architecture, spatial design, product design, furniture, visual communication design and other related fields. INSIDE emphasizes the internal factors that create and influence interiors, which can be understood and exhibited through the places people live in, the materiality of objects and the physical environment, as well as through specific methodologies and approaches to design practice. Interior ideas are discussed as perceived and practiced in this journal, and can be explored through theoretical debates, actual space design work, and empirical interior research. Articles covering various interior contexts, including but not limited to: home and urban interiors, personal and collective interiors, contemporary and historic interiors, global and indigenous interiors. This journal also offers a public forum for discussion of various interior places in a socio-cultural context
