Abstract

Equity valuation represents a company's ability to manage both its financial and non-financial performance effectively. It serves as a crucial benchmark for delivering reliable assessments of a company’s fair value to owners, prospective investors, and other stakeholders. This research investigates the impact of growth opportunities, earnings power, and interest rates on the equity valuation of banking sector firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2023 period. The study’s population includes 46 banking institutions, from which 27 were selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Employing a quantitative research approach, the study utilizes multiple linear regression analysis conducted through EViews software. The findings reveal that growth opportunity has a positive and significant effect on equity valuation. Similarly, earnings power is found to have a significant and positive influence. Conversely, interest rates exhibit a negative and significant impact on equity valuation. Collectively, the three independent variables are statistically proven to significantly influence the equity valuation of banking companies.
