Abstract

The objectives of implementing this community service activity are: to improve the skills of duck farmers in the application of the Azolla bioprocess technology (AZOBIO) in utilization as quality feed ingredients for ducks and increase knowledge to become an entrepreneur character for duck farmers. The implementation of community service uses the method of active participation of duck farmers in farmer groups. The activities carried out are: counseling, training, direct practice of making Azobio and using it in duck rations, as well as calculating the economic value of duck rearing activities. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in knowledge of how to make Azobio, compose rations, efficient feeding methods to ducks, how to handle duck production, how to use a hatching machine, how to handle newly hatched ducklings, and calculate the profit and loss of keeping Kerinci ducks. The conclusions of the implementation of this community service activity are: (1). AZOBIO's teknopro application program was well responded by duck breeders, (2). The maintenance of duck farming with the use of AZOBIO technology provides a decent profit for duck farmers.
