Sosialisasi Penerapan Lubang Resapan Biopori bagi Masyarakat di Desa Pulau Birandang Kabupaten Kampar

Abstract

Housing development as a form of regional development that triggers the growth of urban areas has resulted in the reduction of rainwater catchment areas due to the increase in the area covered by housing. Biopori infiltration holes are one of the water conservation techniques, in the form of holes made on the earth's surface which act as entrances for rainwater that falls to the surface. This appropriate technology is very well implemented by housing communities to prevent flooding. Therefore, outreach to the community is needed. This PKM was carried out in Pulau Birandang Village, Kampar Regency. The method for carrying out community service activities in the form of socialization of biopore infiltration holes is carried out using lecture and discussion methods. The benefits of community service activities are as follows: Socialization participants become more aware of what is meant by biopori so that it is hoped that it can prevent flooding.
