Abstract

Lemongrass is a plant that is often used in household kitchens. Lemongrass is a member of the grass tribe which is used as a spice in the kitchen to scent food. But for Ibu Vini, lemongrass is not only used as a spice in the kitchen. Mrs. Vini tries to turn lemongrass into carbolic acid. So far, Mrs. Vini's business is making carbolic acid using chemicals. Mrs. Vini wants to make carbolic acid from organic natural ingredients. Because lemongrass is an ingredient that is very easy to obtain and has many benefits, an idea emerged to make carbolic acid from lemongrass. Meeting with Mrs. Vini when she offered her homemade carbolic acid to the proposer, the Applicant was interested in the story of her business which turned out to have been 2 (two) years of her life with all her abilities and limitations. Then the proposer took the initiative to invite Mrs. Vini to discuss the development of her business and offer cooperation as a Stimulus Community Service partner that the proposer would carry out with the proposing member, then the proposer carried out a further survey along with the proposing member. So that the proponent found several problems experienced by potential partners, including: Production processes that are still manual, production equipment is still simple, creativity is minimal, packaging is still simple, production management and financial management are irregular. The proposer tries to find solutions to these problems, such as: Teaching modern production processes, Introducing and Facilitating modern equipment, Teaching creativity, helping to design modern packaging, Teaching and helping wider promotional systems such as social media and online applications and Teaching the application of systems Good Production Management and Financial Management. The output of this community service is that it will be published in the Proceedings of the National Seminar and will be published in the mass media, videos of service activities are made and to help partners develop their businesses and it is hoped that partners can be independent and able to compete in modern markets
