Abstract

This study aims to design and build a remote control system for household scale solar lamps. The system is implemented using Thingsboard and Arduino as controllers to regulate the use of household appliances that are routine use such as house lights. With this system, users can adjust the consumption of electric power from solar panels, minimize and save usage, and take into account the effectiveness of the use of electric power generated by solar panels so that no back up from PLN is needed The way this system works is that the user activates the lights remotely through the thingsboard and turns off the light when it is finished. From here, users can estimate the availability of their own solar electricity so they don’t run out of power. The advantage of this research is the integrated SHS system with remote settings that can save electricity consumption. The results of this study are expected to encourage the government and the people of Indonesia to apply alternative energy to meet household electrical energy needs. The performance of a light remote control system using Thingsboard using a wifi network, NodeMCU plays an important role in a light remote control system for sending data to the ThingsBoard server via a wifi network. The light remote control system will be able to run if the NodeMCU and the control device (smartphone or computer) are in one wifi network. The lights can be lit according to the command using a button from the Thingsboard web server. The duration of the lights on and the control button on ThingsBoard is pressed there is no pause even though it is from a distance of 20 km, but if the internet network is unstable it will take about 20 seconds for the internet to stabilize again.

Keywords: Thingsboard, Solar Home System, MCU Node, Lights</p>}, number={1}, journal={SEMASTER: Seminar Nasional Teknologi Informasi & Ilmu Komputer}, author={Kartika Riyanti, Kurnia Paranita and Dhenabayu, Riska and Yuana , Haris}, year={2020}, month={Dec.}, pages={83-89} }
