Abstract

The rapid development of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) significantly impacts vocational students in the Software Engineering and Games (PPLG) program. Although students utilize AI for academic tasks, many lack effective prompting skills and ethical awareness. To address this, a community service project was conducted at SMK Negeri 7 Samarinda through a structured workshop focusing on prompt engineering and AI ethics. The methodology involved theoretical presentations, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice across three case studies: code debugging, application feature design, and academic summarization. Evaluation results indicated that the training effectively enhanced students' ability to construct specific, context-aware prompts. Furthermore, it fostered critical perspectives on academic integrity and the risks of AI dependency, preparing students to treat AI as a collaborative tool rather than a shortcut.
