Abstract

This study examines the application of an industrial-minimalist style in the Grand Deluxe room of Janevalla Hotel Bandung, focusing on material and finishing, color, furniture, structural-mechanical expression, and lighting. A descriptive qualitative method was used through direct observation, visual documentation, and literature review. The findings show that industrial characteristics are expressed through exposed concrete flooring, textured brick surfaces, selected visible structural and mechanical elements, and a neutral palette. Minimalist principles appear through simple furniture forms, limited ornamentation, and clear spatial organization. Large window openings strengthen material expression and create an open visual impression during the day, while warm artificial lighting supports a calmer atmosphere at night. The combination produces a distinctive contemporary urban character while supporting the visual comfort and functional requirements of a hotel room.
