Downstream processing of Lomek fish faces challenges in product quality and diversification. This community service project aimed to deploy a fish grinding machine, waste-oil stove, and hygienic packaging technology to produce meatballs and empek-empek in Pambang Baru Village, Bengkalis. The methodology comprised stakeholder outreach, equipment installation, hands-on operational training, and a three-month intensive mentoring program. Results demonstrated an increase in daily output from 5 to 10 kg, a 143 % rise in gross revenue, and gross margins of 96 %–97.5 %. Technical and managerial capacity building empowered 90 % of cooperative members to independently operate and maintain the equipment. These outcomes highlight the potential of appropriate technologies to economically empower fishermen, reduce poverty, and generate high-value local products.
