Implementasi Permainan Olahraga Petanque Usia 9-11 Tahun di MIN 1 Kecamatan Kuok Kabupaten Kampar

This Community Service (PkM) activity was carried out because petanque is still relatively new in Riau Province, especially at MIN 1 Kuok District, Kampar Regency, which previously did not have any extracurricular petanque activities. The purpose of this socialization was to introduce the sport of petanque, which originated in France, to students, as well as an effort to recruit potential young athletes. The implementation of the community service activity was carried out in Kampar Regency, with the material presented covering the history of petanque, basic techniques, and how to play. The methods used in this activity included observation, discussion, and direct practice to facilitate participants' understanding of the material. The results of the activity showed a high enthusiasm from the students in developing the sport of petanque. In fact, this activity was considered effective as an effort to educate and develop sports from an early age. It is hoped that similar programs can be implemented sustainably with the support of various parties to produce potential petanque athletes in the future.
