Oil and grease waste are aquatic pollutants originating from domestic and industrial activities, particularly those related to food processing, restaurants, and households. The presence of oil and grease in water bodies can compromise environmental quality and pose a threat to aquatic organisms. This study aimed to determine the acute toxicity of oil and grease waste to comet goldfish (*Carassius auratus*) by calculating the 48-hour LC₅₀ (Lethal Concentration 50%) value. An acute toxicity test was conducted, in which the test fish were exposed to various concentrations of oil and grease waste. Observed parameters included fish mortality rates and behavioral changes throughout the exposure period. The results indicate that an increase in the concentration of oil and grease waste correlates directly with an increase in the mortality of the comet goldfish. The 48-hour LC₅₀ value obtained demonstrates that oil and grease waste is toxic to comet goldfish at certain concentrations. Consequently, oil and grease waste has the potential to negatively impact aquatic biota if discharged into the environment without adequate treatment.
