Abstract

Indonesia has a significant development in the automotive product. The National Statistics Agency noted that vehicle growth in Indonesia has increased rapidly from year to year. One of the completeness of the car is windshield. Good car glass is that absorbs heat and is clear when driving. One of the most important post-sales services from ATPM (Brand Sole Agent) is After Service, however, there is no scratched or defective glass slash service, ATPM generally replaces defective or scratched windshields so that the value is less economical for consumer. Use of Cerium Oxide (CeO²) on glass polishing with special techniques capable of or aimed at overcoming defects in car glass. The technique tested is the purity of Cerium Oxide, Grid Abrasive Sandpaper, Rpm, Processing Time with the size of the index polishing results. testing shows the purity of Cerium Oxide at 98% purity, combined grid sandpaper abrasives 240 and 400, Rpm 1600 capable of producing 99.9% glass clarity index on laminated glass types. Thus showing recommendations for driving after repairs. Furthermore, economic analysis is carried out with investment participation methods, in analysis 1) Payback Period,2) Net Present Value,3) Profitability Index, 4) Internal Rate of Return, 5) Average Rate of Return, 6) Return of investment, shows the glass defect polishing technique as an alternative for new glass replacement that is feasible to develop as a service business.
