Author Guidelines

Disaster Mitigation and Engineering Systems Joint Design (DMESJD) is an online, international, peer-reviewed academic journal that adheres to high standards of scientific quality and transparency. The journal engages both established and emerging scholars from around the world and invites qualified research articles in all areas related to disaster mitigation, engineering systems, and joint design approaches.

  • Authors should prepare their manuscript using the official DMESJD template and submit it through the online submission system (link). Only manuscripts that strictly follow the DMESJD format will be processed and sent to reviewers.

  • The manuscript must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration for publication in any other journal or conference proceedings.

  • All submitted papers will be peer reviewed by experts in the relevant field, considering the originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and significance to disaster mitigation and engineering systems.

  • As part of our commitment to timely publication, the editors will make every effort to complete the initial review process within four weeks. If authors do not receive any notification after this period, they are encouraged to contact the editorial office by email.

  • DMESJD is an open access international journal. Authors and readers can access all published articles freely. At present, there are no submission fees or article processing charges (APCs) for manuscripts accepted and published in DMESJD.
