Abstract

The development of science and technology causes the level of public awareness of the importance of health to be higher, so the demand for healthy vegetables is even greater. Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L) is a type of fruit vegetable that is very well known and is generally consumed raw as a salad or made into juice, which has various benefits in everyday life, including as food ingredients, medicinal ingredients and cosmetic ingredients. Along with the development of the culinary business, the demand for cucumber plants will certainly increase. Planting in the subsoil will certainly be a challenge, because physically this soil is relatively infertile and poor in nutrients, and contains low organic matter, so it is necessary to apply synthetic organic fertilizers (Nasa and TOP G2) or natural ones (lamtoro leaves and banana peels). ). Research on the effect of synthetic and natural liquid organic fertilizers has never been done, whether it will have the same effect on cucumber plants. The study was conducted experimentally with a completely randomized design (CRD), with 5 treatments and 4 replications, each experimental plot contained 4 plants. The treatments were P0 (without liquid organic fertilizer), P1 (giving Nasa liquid organic fertilizer), P2 (giving liquid organic fertilizer TOP G2), P3 (giving lamtoro leaf liquid organic fertilizer), P4 (giving banana peel liquid organic fertilizer). Observational data were analyzed by means of variance, if F count F table 5%, followed by further test of 5% level of DNMRT. Research on the application of synthetic and natural liquid organic fertilizers has a significant effect on the growth and production of cucumber plants on the parameters of stem diameter, fruit length, fruit diameter, number of fruit planted and weight of fruit planted, with the best treatment being application of liquid organic fertilizer TOP G2
