Abstract

Oil palm (Elaesis gueneensis Jacq) is one of the plantation crops which is a source of raw materials for the food and non-food industries in the country and has been designated as one of Indonesia's non-oil and gas export commodities with potential in the international market and is able to generate foreign exchange for the country. To increase the production of oil palm plantations, it is necessary to make optimal use of land and use of fertilizers efficiently Riau Province has a potential land area of 14.38 million hectares. The problem faced in PMK soil is the low content of organic matter and nutrients with soil pH ranging from 4-5. The availability of nutrients is very low because it is bound to AL and Fe, fertilization needs to be done to overcome this. The research aims to determine the application of POC Paitan and NPK fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedlings. The research method was carried out experimentally with a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). Each of the 3 levels of NPK treatment (N) namely (No) = 0 gr, N1 = 5 gr and N2 = 10 gr and Paitan treatment (P) namely Po = 0 cc/ltr, P1 = 125 cc/ltr and P2 = 250 cc/ltr. The data were analyzed using variance and continued with the BNJ test at 5% level. The results showed that the application of POC Paitan and NPK had a significant effect on all parameters. The best dose was obtained in the N1P2 treatment, namely 5 grams of NPK fertilizer and. 250 ml/l POC Paitan
