Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) is a legume plant that has a relatively cheap source of vegetable protein when compared to other protein sources such as meat, milk, and fish. Soybean is one of the main foodstuffs for the Indonesian people besides sweet potatoes, rice, and corn. Plant growth and production can be increased by improving cultivation methods, starting with the use of better varieties, but the use of better varieties alone cannot increase productivity if soil fertility is not taken into account. Riau is generally a podzolic soil that is red and yellow (PMK). The acidity level of podzolic soil is high but organic matter is very low, therefore it is necessary to improve the soil by using organic fertilizers together with inorganic fertilizers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and obtain the best interaction of bokashi and SP-36 fertilizers on the growth and production of soybean plants (Glycine max L. Merrill) This study was conducted experimentally using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of two factors, namely B (Bokashi Fertilizer). Consisting of 3 levels, and the S fertilizer factor (SP.36) consisting of 3 levels, and each had 3 replications. The parameters observed were plant height, number of productive branches, number of root nodules, flowering age, number of pods per plant and fresh weight of pods. From the results of the research that has been done, the provision of bokashi and SP-36 has an effect on all parameters while the best interaction is in the B2S2 treatment (800 g/plant goat manure bokashi and 12 g/plant SP.36 fertilizer)
