Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of social support and academic stress on academic burnout withs elf-efficacy as mediation. The population of this study were active clinical clerkship students at the Faculty of Medicine, Riau University who were carrying out the professional learning process at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital, Riau Province. The research method uses a quantitative approach with research sampling techniques using purposive sampling. This research received 182 respondents in total. Statistical analysis to test hypotheses using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with software SmartPLS 4. The results of this study show that social support has a significant effect on academic burnout, academic stress is significantly correlated to academic burnout, self-efficacy significant effect on academic burnout, social support has a significant positive effect on self-efficacy, academic stress has a significant negative effect on self-efficacy, social support has a significant effect on academic burnout with self-efficacy as mediation and academic stress has a significant effect on academic burnout with self-efficacy as mediation.
