Abstract

Detergent is a cleaning agent commonly used by the community, both in households, industries, and hotels. The use of detergent is very useful for students, including at the Baitul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Rantau Panjang Village, West Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. Independence in the procurement and production of liquid detergent will greatly help meet the needs of students who will always be used to wash their clothes. In addition, soap-making skills can also develop the economy and entrepreneurship of students and teachers. There are many liquid detergent products on the market, but they are expensive for quality detergents. Liquid detergents are easy to manufacture and by producing them themselves can produce products at a lower cost. The community service team hopes that this training can provide a broader insight into chemistry, be able to help reduce the expenditure of the Baitul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School for the purchase of liquid detergent at high prices, and can open up entrepreneurial opportunities for students, teachers and the surrounding community.
