INSTRUCTIONS FOR  AUTHORS OF REILA JOURNAL

(Revised on 29 June 2020)

  • The text submitted by the author is the original scientific paper, has never been published, and is not being submitted for publication in  other media/journals.
  • The text proposed may be results of the study (field/literature), conceptual ideas, studies, application of theories, and criticism in the social, humanities, and technology.
  • The manuscript can be written either in American English or in British English.
  • The manuscript is written with Times New Roman. The font size for the title is 14, the author name(s) is 11, the author affiliation and email address(es) is 10, the abstract title is 11, the abstract body and keywords is 10, the section heading is 12, the subsection heading is 11, the body text is 10, and the table, chart, and title text are also 10. If there are additional sections for the subsection, the font size is the same as the body text.
  • The manuscript begins with abstract of 150-200 words and must be written in English.
  • The keywords should be 4-5 and written in English.
  • Abstracts must clearly indicate a brief background of the problems, the researcher's objectives, the data sample and methods, the findings, and the main conclusions. It is also highly recommended for the abstracts to indicate the research gaps and novelty of the results.
  • The name of the author(s) is written without academic degrees. If a manuscript is written by a team or more than one person, the editor will communicate only with the correspondence author whose account submitted the paper electronically.
  • The manuscript should be organised into five section headings (font size 12) in the following order:

1. Introduction: includes problem identification, literature review, research gaps and novelty, research objectives, as well as the benefits of the research.

2. Method: consists of the way the research is done and a description of the sample, instruments, and procedures used in conducting the analysis or research.

3. Results & Discussion: describes the results of research. Every table, chart, and figure must be accompanied with a paragraph of their respective analysis below.

4. Conclusion: contains the summary of the whole research with an emphasis on the main conclusions drawn from the results, as well as acknowledgement of the limitations as a pre-text for the future recommendations. It must written in the form of paragraph, not as bullet points.

5. References: Arranged alphabetically in the APA Style of Citation.

  • If there are multiple results that needs to be analysed individually, the third section heading can be divided into:

3. Results: the findings of the research and the analysis of the results.

4. Discussion: the interpretation of the results which are compared with previous studies. This section heading should also emphasise the research's novel findings.

  • If there are parties that should be acknowledged for the completion of the manuscript, the manuscript should contain an Acknowledgement section heading after the Conclusion.
  • The title of the table, chart, and figure is placed on the top in font size 10 with appropriate bold. Example:

  • If a chart or figure is not visually feasible for reading in the two-column style of the manuscript, the authors may submit the .jpg or .png version as a supplementary file.
  • The minimum length of the pages must be 5 pages with 12 pages maximum. The length may be extended for review papers.
  • The article does not contain the results of plagiarism, falsification, and fabrication of data.
  • In the revision stage, authors must use Track Change in Microsoft Word.
  • This journal does not charge any submission fee. There is an article processing charge that must be paid after the paper has already undergone peer-review process and is accepted for publication. The specifics of the fee can be seen here.
