Etnobotani Tumbuhan Upacara Adat Pernikahan Masyarakat Suku Melayu Rokan Hilir, Provinsi Riau

Ceremony Kelurahan Bagan Barat Kecamatan Bangko District Rokan Hilir Riau Province, was conducted in December 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of plants, plant parts used and the method of cultivating plants by the Malay people. The method used in this exploratory survey research and the sampling technique used snowball sampling. Field data collection was in the form of recording local plant names, the parts used, cultivation methods and utilization methods. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study found 12 types of plants from families. The most common family found is aracaceae (Areca Catechu, cocos nucifera). The plant parts used are divided into four parts, namely leaves, fruits, stems and flowers. For the part that is most widely used namely, fruit. Cultivation carried out by the community is by planting it around local residents' houses, in rice fields and in forests. The most cultivated method is by planting it around local residents' houses.
