    To promote international research collaboration and enhance the global exchange of knowledge in agricultural science, Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian provides an Article Processing Charge (APC) waiver for manuscripts involving international research collaboration or submissions from authors affiliated with institutions outside Indonesia.

    This initiative aims to support the dissemination of research related to tropical agriculture and sustainable agroecosystems across regions.

  • Call for Reviewers – Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian (JIP)

    Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian (JIP) invites qualified researchers and academics to join our reviewer community.

    We welcome reviewers with expertise in agriculture, crop science, soil and plant sciences, crop protection, agro-industrial innovation, environmental and socio-economic aspects of agriculture.

    Reviewers are expected to hold at least a Master’s degree (preferably PhD), have relevant publication experience, and commit to providing objective and constructive reviews.

    Interested candidates may register through the journal’s OJS system and select “Reviewer” as their role.  For exceptional cases where registration through OJS is not feasible, candidates may submit a brief academic CV to jip@unilak.ac.id for editorial consideration.

    We greatly appreciate the contribution of reviewers in maintaining the scientific quality, integrity, and sustainability of Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian.

    We are delighted to announce the remarkable achievements of the Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian in the year 2024. Throughout the year, the journal successfully published 22 articles, demonstrating its commitment to advancing agricultural science and innovation.

     

    Key metrics for 2024 include:

    • Acceptance Rate: 18.10%
    • Average Time to First Decision: 11 days
    • Average Time from Submission to Acceptance: 126 days

     

    Another significant milestone is the increased Scopus Citedness of the journal. As of January 2025, the journal has been cited in 64 documents, marking a considerable rise from 43 documents in January 2024.

    The Editorial Board of Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian is pleased to invite readers, authors, and reviewers to participate in the International Eco-Harmony Summit 2024, scheduled to take place on September 26, 2024, at Universitas Lancang Kuning, Pekanbaru, Indonesia.

    The summit aims to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to share their insights, findings, and innovations in the field of sustainable agriculture and environmental harmony.

  • Delay in Publication Process for the Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian

As the journal's management and editorial team, we strive to provide you with a seamless and efficient publishing experience. However, we are currently facing an unavoidable delay due to changes in the plagiarism-checking software's policy, which is an integral part of our publication process.

    The plagiarism-checking software that we utilize to ensure the originality and quality of submitted manuscripts is undergoing policy modifications. These changes require us to temporarily suspend the use of the software until the new policy is fully implemented and tested. While we understand the importance of timely publication, we believe that maintaining the integrity of our publication standards is paramount.

  • Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian Implements New Language Policy for Enhanced Quality and Global Visibility

    We would like to announce that Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian is implementing a new language policy in response to the recommendation from our Scopus evaluator. We are pleased to inform you that our OJS systems are now in full English.

    Starting from Vol. 20 in 2023, we will use English titles in our OJS system and make a notation of "ID" if the title is in Bahasa Indonesia and "EN" if it is in English. As we move forward, we will gradually require all manuscripts submitted to our journal to be in English. We understand that some authors may face difficulties in translating their work into English. Therefore, we recommend that authors seek assistance from a team that can provide proofreading, translation, and copyediting services.

    We believe that this language policy will enhance the quality and visibility of our journal on a global scale. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter and look forward to receiving more high-quality research contributions in English in the future.

  • Outstanding Performance in 2022: Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian's High Submission Retention and Timely Editorial Decisions

    Attention all researchers and academics! We are delighted to share that Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian has achieved outstanding performance in 2022. We are pleased to report that 100% of the authors who have submitted their work to our journal have expressed their intention to submit their manuscripts to Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian in the future.

    In 2022, we received a total of 98 manuscripts for review. While we had to reject 80% of them, we remain committed to providing timely and constructive feedback to all authors who submit their work for publication.

    We take pride in our prompt and efficient editorial process, and we are pleased to report that the average time taken for the first editorial decision was 10 days. We want to emphasize that our editorial team did not cause the delay but was due to the authors' response time during the initial screening stage.

  • Rearrangement the volume and edition of Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian

    To rearrange the volume and edition of publications and accommodate many suggestions, the  Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian (JIP) or Agricultural Scientific Journal will be published three times a year, starting in 2022, i.e. March, July and December.

    In March 2022, we will publish Volume 19 No. 1 2022. Therefore, we will accept your manuscript until February 10, 2022, so it can be selected for Volume 19 No. 1 2022.

    We are committed to supporting the transition of all research to full open access, even in the current COVID-19 global pandemic conditions, so we still offer APC (Article Processing Charges) waivers or discounts to some authors. In addition, we waive and offer discounts of 30% to all authors that published their article in Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian (JIP) during 2021. The authors of the selected articles only have to pay 500,000 IDR (= 35 USD) for APC.
