Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian (JIP) applies a peer-review process policy:

  1. Author Submits the Manuscript
  2. Editor Evaluation
  3. Double Blind Review
  4. Editor Decision
  5. Confirmation to the Author

Every manuscript that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Initial Review processes by Editorial Board. The manuscripts will be evaluated whether they are in accordance with the focus and scope of JIP. The Manuscripts that are not in accordance will be rejected, but if an adjustment is a possibility the authors may be requested to revise. The manuscripts in accordance with the focus and scope of JIP will be checked to identify any evidence of plagiarism before being reviewed by qualified reviewers. All manuscripts entered will be reviewed by Double Blind Review system, in which reviewers do not know who the author(s) is, and the author(s) does not know who the reviewers are. One manuscript will be reviewed by at least 1 reviewer. The reviewers' comments are sent anonymously to the authors for them to take the necessary actions and responses. Revised manuscript decisions will be evaluated by the appropriate editor, based on reviewers' recommendations, namely: (a) rejected, (b) requires major revisions, (c) requires minor revisions, or (d) accepted. The Editor has the right to decide which manuscripts submitted to JIP Journal should be published.
