Publication Fee/Charge
Author Fees
All articles published in International Journal of Pedagogy are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication.
Authors ARE NOT REQUIRED to pay for an article submission, but only for the accepted manuscript will be asked to pay the Article Processing/Publishing Charges. Article Processing/Publishing Charges (APC): 25 USD
The APC includes:
- Registration of DOI for each article
- Similarity Check Results (at the end of the article's peer review process).
New policy: APC is free for article submission of authors from a minimum of two different countries affiliation or manuscript with author that has more than 5 H-Index from the Scopus or equivalence in WoS database and is willing to review a paper.
When do I have to pay and how do I pay?
If the manuscript has been accepted for publication, reila@unilak.ac.id will contact the corresponding author to transfer the required amount.
Can I reduce my publication fee?
Yes, you can reduce the amount you have to pay if you apply for a waiver or discount, which are available only if the author(s) are based in developing countries (list is provided below). You must declare reasonable reasons for a waiver or discount in the comments to the Editor box during your submission, otherwise, your application will be considered a normal submission if it is not asked at this stage.
Applying for a waiver or discount will not affect the article submission's review results.
Waivers and Discounts
For authors publishing in JOELS, it offers waivers and discounts to corresponding authors based in developing countries.
To ensure that editorial decisions are never influenced by the ability to pay, it is JOELS policy that editors of open-access journals are not involved in correspondence with authors regarding payment of Article Publication Charges (APCs). The automatic waiver system will be managed by administrative staff not involved in decisions regarding article acceptance. We ask authors not to discuss any issues concerning payment with editors.
In addition to the Research4Life countries listed below, some journals may offer additional waiver initiatives for APCs. These additional APC waivers will be managed by the editors and may be discussed with them.
Automatic Waivers
Corresponding authors based in the following countries are eligible to receive an automatic waiver for APCs* when publishing in JOELS Journal:
*Automatic waivers will only be applied if the corresponding author requests a waiver at the payment step during article submission.
