Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective e-module containing Islamic values for teaching procedural text in English for grade IX students at SMP IT Arsyad Islamic School Pekanbaru. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data were collected through interviews, expert validation sheets (media, material, and language), questionnaires for teachers and students, and learning outcome tests. The findings indicate that the developed e-module achieved a high level of validity, was practically applicable for students in classroom settings with percentage of 87,05%, and effectively improved students’ learning outcomes in procedural text comprehension with score 89,09. Integrating Islamic values—particularly thaharah practices such as wudu—into English learning materials not only enhanced students’ language skills but also strengthened their religious understanding and character formation. The study concludes that Islamic values–based e-modules are a feasible and meaningful instructional medium for English learning in Islamic secondary schools.
