Abstract

The research entitles Lexicon in Malay Traditional Wedding: Etnolinguistic Study. This research is inspired by uniqueness traditiona Malay wedding. The aim of this research is to describe the terms of series of activities and speech acts used in each set of Malay traditional wedding. Besides, it also interpret es the meanings of the activities. The data used as the object of the research are written and oral texts dealing with the traditional Malay wedding. Such as Tenggantung-gantung, Malam Berinai, Upacara Berandam, Upacara Khatam Al-Qur 'an, Upacara Hantaran Belanja, and others.
