JOELS (Journal of Election and Leadership) gives scholars and practitioners who advance leadership a forum to share their analysis of topics including but not limited to voting behaviour, turnout, campaigns, political parties, and electoral systems, etc. In light of the recent emerging democracies, a plethora of new data and scope is one of JOELS' aims to test and analyze to provide evidence-based environment for the discourse of Leadership Theory. The main focus is leadership topics, with interests in political participation, organizational behavior, human resource management, strategy, international management, and entrepreneurship.

JOELS aims to publish the results of research of the highest quality in elections, political participation and leadership. Published under the auspices of the Center for Political and Government Studies from electoral and leadership specialist groups, it accepts submissions based on comparative studies or one country studies. This journal has no methodological bias other than proven excellence.
