Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines for the Journal of Tropical Agro-Environmental
The Journal of Tropical Agro-Environmental (JTAE) provides a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to publish original research and reviews in the fields of agriculture, environmental science, and related disciplines focusing on tropical regions. Please follow these guidelines to prepare your manuscript for submission.
Manuscript Categories
JTAE accepts the following types of submissions:
- Original Research Articles: Up to 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
- Review Articles: Up to 10,000 words, comprehensive reviews on relevant topics.
- Short Communications: Up to 3,000 words, presenting significant preliminary results or methodologies.
- Case Studies: Up to 5,000 words, with a focus on practical applications in tropical agro-environments.
General Format
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in English.
- File Format: Submit manuscripts as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file.
- Margins and Spacing: Use 1-inch margins and double spacing throughout the document.
- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font.
- Page Numbers: Include page numbers in the bottom-right corner.
Manuscript Structure
Title Page
- Title: Concise, specific, and informative.
- Authors: Full names of all authors, affiliations, and email addresses.
- Corresponding Author: Clearly indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*).
Abstract
- Maximum of 300 words.
- Include background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and significance.
- Avoid citations.
Keywords
- Provide 4-6 keywords that represent the content of the manuscript.
Main Text
1. Introduction
- Background and rationale of the study.
- Clearly state the objectives.
2. Methodology (Materials and Methods)
- Detailed description of study design, materials, and methods to ensure reproducibility.
- For new methods, provide a brief validation.
3. Results
- Present findings in a logical sequence.
- Use tables and figures to enhance clarity.
4. Discussion
- Interpret results in relation to existing research.
- Highlight the significance and limitations.
5. Conclusion
- Summarize key findings and implications.
Acknowledgments
- Recognize individuals or organizations that contributed to the study but are not listed as authors.
References
- Use APA (7th edition) citation style.
- List references alphabetically by the first author’s last name.
Tables and Figures
- Tables: Numbered consecutively, with descriptive titles above the table.
- Figures: Numbered consecutively, with captions below the figure.
- Include high-resolution images for all figures.
Submission Process
- Submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system (link provided on the journal’s website).
- Ensure the manuscript is anonymized for peer review (remove authors’ names and affiliations from the main text).
Ethical Standards
- Plagiarism: All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism. Submissions with over 20% similarity may be rejected.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.
- Human and Animal Studies: Include ethical approval details for studies involving human participants or animals.
Revision and Resubmission
- Address all comments from reviewers in a detailed response letter.
- Highlight changes made to the manuscript in the revised version.
Publication Fees
- Details regarding publication fees (if applicable) will be communicated upon acceptance of the manuscript.
