This community service program aims to empower women in Kualu Village, Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar Regency to improve their economic independence through skills in making natural air fresheners from lemongrass. The activity was held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach for one day. This method was chosen to ensure the active involvement of participants while mapping local needs and potential so that the training process would be effective and efficient. The training program focused on knowledge transfer and hands-on practice in making air fresheners, from ingredient selection, production process, aroma formulation, to product packaging. The results of the activity showed a high level of participation and adoption of the material, as demonstrated by the participants' ability to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for production in a stable and consistent manner. In addition, this activity encouraged the emergence of small business initiatives among rural women, indicating an increase in technical and managerial capacity as well as self-confidence. In addition to improving participants' technical knowledge and skills, the program also fostered entrepreneurial awareness, creativity, and self-confidence in utilizing local resources to develop value-added products. The emergence of initiatives to establish small-scale businesses based on natural air fresheners indicates enhanced technical and managerial capacities among the participants. Therefore, the program made a positive contribution to strengthening the economic empowerment of rural women while creating opportunities for sustainable home-based enterprises built upon local resources and community potential.
