Magelang City is a disaster-prone area because of its proximity to Mount Merapi and its exposure to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, and strong winds. Initial observations at SMP Negeri 2 Magelang indicated that disaster preparedness facilities and procedures were still limited, including incomplete evacuation signs, unclear assembly point markers, and the absence of a systematically documented emergency procedure. This community service program aimed to strengthen students' disaster literacy and practical preparedness through school-based education and evacuation simulation. The activity applied a Participatory Action Research approach involving needs assessment, coordination with the school, interactive education, earthquake evacuation simulation using the Drop, Cover, and Hold On procedure, installation of evacuation signs and assembly point markers, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. The evaluation involved 30 students of class VII D with ten questions scored on a 0-100 scale. The results showed an increase in the average score from 82.00 to 83.67, equivalent to 1.67 points or 2.03%. Although the increase was relatively modest, the program produced concrete outputs in the form of evacuation signs, an assembly point marker, and a school disaster mitigation guide. Therefore, this activity can be considered an initial contribution to strengthening disaster preparedness practices in the school environment, while further periodic evaluation is required to measure behavioral sustainability
