Kegiatan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat pada Taman Bacaan Masyarakat Saung Diajar Kreatif 09 Bandung

The Community Reading Park (TBM) is a non-formal educational institution that plays a strategic role in the community. One TBM that utilizes its strategic role to empower the community is TBM Saung Diajar Kreatif 09, located in Margasuka Village, Bandung City. This study aims to identify community empowerment activities at TBM through an analysis of its programs and the challenges and obstacles TBM faces. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that the community empowerment activities carried out by TBM Saung Diajar Kreatif 09 can be classified into several areas: education, training and creativity; and cultural preservation. This aligns with the role of TBM as outlined in the Decision of the Minister of Village Affairs, Regional Development, and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3 of 2024. This TBM temporarily ceased operations during the pandemic, but revitalization efforts have enabled it to resume activities as before. However, as an independent TBM, Saung Diajar Kreatif 09 does not receive management or funding assistance from external parties. Consequently, the lack of volunteers, funding, and infrastructure is a challenge felt by TBMs. The conclusion of this research indicates that the Saung Diajar Kreatif 09 Community Reading Park has been able to serve as a solution in empowering the local community by organizing empowerment activities across various fields
