This research aims to analyze user perceptions of local content services at the UPT Library of Padang State University. Local content refers to academic works such as theses, dissertations, and final projects that are digitally stored and accessed through the library’s repository system. The study employs a quantitative descriptive method, using data collected through questionnaires distributed to 95 respondents selected using a simple random sampling technique. The analysis is based on five indicators adapted from the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model, namely: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness.
The findings indicate that user perceptions of the local content service are generally categorized as high to very high. Among the five indicators, content and timeliness received the highest average scores, reflecting that users find the information relevant and accessible within an appropriate timeframe. However, some areas still require improvement. Specifically, the indicators of format and ease of use obtained relatively lower scores. Several users noted challenges in navigating the system and locating specific information efficiently, especially for first-time users. Based on these results, it is recommended that the technical aspects of the service be enhanced. Improvements such as optimizing the user interface, refining the search features, and increasing the clarity of document formats are essential to enhance the overall user experience and satisfaction with the local content services.
