Implementasi Asta Etika Pustakawan di Satuan Pendidikan Sekolah Dasar Keagamaan: Perspektif Islam

This study examined the implementation of the Asta Librarian Ethics from an Islamic perspective at the library of islamic public elementary school. The research was conducted because the implementation of librarian ethics in school libraries had often been discussed conceptually, while studies focusing on the integration of Islamic values in librarian professionalism remained limited. The study aimed to analyze the implementation of the Asta Librarian Ethics, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine the relevance of Islamic values. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving librarians at the school library. The collected data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings revealed that librarians had implemented the Asta Librarian Ethics in accordance with Islamic values through the application of shiddiq in delivering accurate information, amanah in providing professional and responsible services, tabligh in maintaining polite and open communication, and fathanah in improving competencies and managing information wisely. The implementation was supported by adequate facilities, clear regulations, librarian professionalism, and leadership behavior. However, several obstacles were still identified, particularly related to emotional conditions of librarians and limited user understanding. The study concluded that the internalization of Islamic values contributed positively to strengthening librarian professionalism and improving the quality of library services in Islamic elementary school libraries.
