This community service aims to develop a sharia cooperative model at Pondok Pesantren Modern Putri Roji Syafaat (PMP Rosya) as an effort to empower the economic independence of the pesantren. The primary focus is to identify the challenges and opportunities in the implementation of a sharia cooperative at a newly established pesantren. The methods employed in this service include SWOT analysis to assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by the pesantren's business units, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to gather insights from the management and students regarding the prioritization of business unit development. The findings reveal that PMP Rosya has significant potential in developing sharia cooperative-based business units, such as bottled water refills, restaurants, and camping grounds. However, the main challenges are the lack of understanding among the management and students regarding sharia cooperative management and the lack of clear vision and strategy in managing the business units. Additionally, the existing business units face issues related to financial management, marketing, and unstructured bookkeeping. The impact of this service includes enhanced understanding among the management and students on how to manage a sharia cooperative and business unit development strategies. The results also contribute to the literature on the application of sharia cooperatives in newly developed pesantren and provide practical recommendations for pesantren aiming to develop sharia-based business units to support their economic independence and the empowerment of surrounding communities
