Difficulties in understanding the concept of plane geometry can be caused by abstract mathematical concepts and by difficulties in representing area. These difficulties are also complained about by teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah throughout Tarakan City, namely that students have difficulty understanding the concept of plane geometry. Manipulative teaching aids are physical objects that can be manipulated during learning to instill an understanding of the concept of plane geometry area. Therefore, it is necessary to reinforce plane geometry learning using manipulatives to understand the concept of area. The activity was implemented in five stages: socialisation, training in the use of manipulative teaching aids, application of manipulative teaching aids in schools, evaluation of implementation, and program sustainability. The results of this activity were: 1) a 66% increase in teachers' understanding of the concept of plane geometry; 2) a 66% increase in teachers' ability to use teaching aids; 3) a 77% increase in teachers' ability to make manipulative teaching aids for mathematics; and 4) a 54% increase in students' understanding of the concept of plane geometry after learning mathematics using teaching aids.
