This study aims to analyze the utilization of WhatsApp as a means of public information transparency in the Lasiwala Village Government, Pitu Riawa Sub-district, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, examined through four dimensions of transparency: clarity, accessibility, integration, and rationality of information. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with nine informants consisting of key informants (village officials), supporting informants (residents joined in the WhatsApp group), and comparative informants (residents not joined in the group), complemented by observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, assisted by NVivo 12 software. The results show that WhatsApp utilization has been running but remains suboptimal. Clarity has improved through mixed-language messaging, yet lacks a written standard. Accessibility is the weakest dimension, reaching only around 25 percent of household heads. Integration shows consistent message substance but weak timeliness and archiving. Rationality of information still depends heavily on the personal judgment of the Village Head rather than a documented procedure. These findings indicate that transparency through WhatsApp in village governance is constrained less by technology itself than by the absence of standardized communication management.
