Preservasi Digital: Strategi Pelestarian Informasi Perpustakaan di Era Modern

Digital preservation is a challenge as well as a solution in the preservation of library information in the modern era. This article discusses a variety of strategies that can be applied to maintain the sustainability of digital collections, including data migration, software emulation, and the implementation of standard metadata. In addition, the importance of long-term planning, resource allocation, and professional training is also reviewed as supporting elements for the success of this strategy. The article aims to analyze the challenges and strategies of digital preservation, explore the role of technology in supporting digital preservation as well as the importance of training and human resource development in digital preservation. The data collection method used in writing this article is a qualitative research method that is sourced from data collection with literature techniques derived from books, journals, newspapers, magazines, articles, the internet and other written data. The results of the study explained that digital preservation is very important in ensuring the sustainability of access to information in libraries. It is undeniable that technology plays a big role in supporting digital preservation. Therefore, an effective strategy is needed starting from increasing human resources through training and development, budget allocation, and the implementation of clear and structured preservation policies.
