OPEN ACCESS POLICY

1. Introduction

Jurnal Ilmiah Ekonomi dan Bisnis (JIEB), published by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Lancang Kuning, Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia, is committed to promoting the free and unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge. JIEB believes that open access to scholarly research encourages the global exchange of knowledge, supports academic development, facilitates further research, and increases the societal and economic impact of scientific publications.

In accordance with this commitment, JIEB provides immediate open access to its published articles and adopts the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license to facilitate the responsible sharing, reuse, and adaptation of scholarly work.

2. Definition of Open Access

Open access refers to the free availability of scholarly literature on the public internet, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, and use them for other lawful purposes, subject to the terms of the applicable license.

JIEB supports the principles of open access by ensuring that its published articles are accessible to readers without subscription fees or access restrictions.

3. Open Access Policy Details

3.1. Free and Immediate Access

All articles published in JIEB are made available online immediately upon publication. Readers can access, read, download, and share published articles without subscription fees or other charges for access to the content.

JIEB does not impose access barriers that restrict the public availability of its published research.

3.2. Copyright and Licensing

JIEB publishes its articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.

Under this license, users are permitted to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

These permissions are granted provided that users comply with the following conditions:

  • Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given to the original author(s) and the source of publication, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated. Attribution must not imply that the author(s) or JIEB endorse the user or the reuse.

3.3. Publication Fees and Access Charges

JIEB provides readers with free and immediate access to its published articles. Readers are not required to pay subscription fees or access charges to read or download articles.

Any publication fees applicable to authors are governed by the journal's separate Author Fees policy, which is available on the official JIEB website. Such fees do not restrict public access to published articles.

3.4. User Rights and Permitted Reuse

In accordance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, users may share and adapt JIEB articles, provided that they properly acknowledge the original authors and source, include the applicable license information, indicate modifications where relevant, and apply the same license to adapted material.
