Plagiarism Policy

CyTED Journal: Cyberlearning, Technolinguistics, and Edu-Games Research upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works that have not been published or submitted elsewhere.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, copying text, ideas, data, images, or results from other sources without proper acknowledgment. This also includes self-plagiarism, redundant publication, excessive similarity, and improper paraphrasing.

Similarity Screening

Every submitted manuscript is screened using reputable plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or equivalent tools) before entering the peer-review process.

  • Similarity above 40%: The manuscript will be rejected outright due to unacceptable levels of similarity and poor citation practices.
  • Similarity between 15%–40%: The manuscript will be returned to the author(s) for major revision, requiring proper citation and improved paraphrasing.
  • Similarity below 15%: The manuscript may proceed to peer review, provided that all sources are properly cited.

AI-Generated Content

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is permitted only for language editing or grammar refinement. Authors must clearly disclose any AI usage in their manuscript. AI tools must not be used to generate core academic content such as research ideas, data analysis, or conclusions.

Manuscripts may also be subject to AI-similarity detection. Excessive reliance on AI-generated content without disclosure may result in rejection or retraction.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is identified at any stage—before or after publication—CyTED reserves the right to reject the manuscript, retract the published article, notify the author’s institution, and take further action in accordance with publication ethics guidelines.

Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work. Proper citation and ethical writing practices are mandatory. By submitting a manuscript to CyTED, authors confirm that their work complies with this plagiarism policy.
