Abstract

The nutritional issues among teenagers in Indonesia exhibit a concerning trend, characterized by a rising incidence of overweight and obesity. Effective and engaging nutrition education is urgently needed to promote healthy eating behavior from an early age. This community service activity aimed to improve adolescents’ nutritional understanding through an innovative educational medium, the 3D Pop-Up Book “SI CERDAS” (Siasati Individu Cegah Efek Rusak Dini Akibat Salah Gizi). The program was conducted at SMPN 4 Malang, involving 36 students. The methods included pre-test and post-test, interactive education sessions, and satisfaction evaluation. The results showed a significant improvement in nutritional knowledge and enthusiasm among participants. The mean satisfaction score fell within the commendable range, with material recall achieving the highest rating. The Pop-Up Book shown efficacy as an interactive visual learning tool that improves teenagers' nutritional awareness in an entertaining and pragmatic manner.
