Abstract

This community service activity addressed work-resilience needs among employees of a veterinary clinical laboratory in Sleman, Yogyakarta, particularly job-background mismatch, concurrent roles, operational pressure, and unclear work procedures. A participatory program was designed from a needs assessment completed by seven employees and implemented with six employees on April 26, 2025 because one employee was absent. The activity combined self-reflection, brief instruction, case discussion, and action planning on psychological readiness, work anxiety, mastery learning, openness to experience, workplace resilience, and social media use. Post-activity evaluation showed that five of six participants reported understanding most or all of the material, and five intended to follow it up. Written feedback emphasized clearer standard operating procedures, a channel for communicating workplace concerns, additional technical and interpersonal training, and recognition from management. Because no pretest or control group was used, the findings indicate perceived usefulness and understanding rather than demonstrated change.
