PEMANFAATAN CORELDRAW DALAM MENDUKUNG EKONOMI KREATIF PADA INDUSTRI PERCETAKAN KEPADA SISWA/I SMKN 5 PEKANBARU

The creative economy is currently one of the sectors with great potential to improve the community's economy, especially in the field of printing. CorelDRAW, as a graphic design software commonly used in the printing industry, has an important role in producing high-value creative products. However, many students of SMKN 5 Pekanbaru who are interested in the field of design have not received adequate training regarding the use of CorelDRAW as a graphic design tool that can support their future careers. This activity aims to improve students' skills in using CorelDRAW for printing design needs, provide an understanding of creative economic opportunities in the printing sector, and encourage students to be more confident and skilled in producing quality and commercial printing designs. The stages of implementing this activity include socialization and introduction, which provides material about CorelDRAW, the printing industry, and the role of the creative economy. This is followed by intensive practical training covering the basics of graphic design, image manipulation techniques, logo creation and layout for printing products such as brochures, business cards and banners. The next stage is the creation of work, where students are encouraged to create designs independently or in groups as a form of practice of the training that has been given. Finally, evaluation and follow-up are carried out through assessing student work, providing feedback, and directions related to business opportunities in the printing field. The expected benefits of this activity are to equip students with technical skills that are ready to be used in the world of work, especially in the printing industry, encourage the emergence of young entrepreneurs in the field of creative economy and printing, and strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and the printing industry through the creation of competent human resources who are ready to contribute. With this service activity, students of SMKN 5 Pekanbaru are expected to have design skills using CorelDRAW that are applicable, so that they are better prepared to face the challenges of the printing industry and are encouraged to contribute to the development of the creative economy.
