Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan terhadap seluruh guru di SMAN 8 Kota Pekanbaru  Provinsi Riau tujuan mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dengan budaya sekolah dan komitmen guru sebagai variabel mediasi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampel jenuh, yaitu seluruh  populasi dijadikan sampel yang berjumlah 60 guru. Teknik analisa data penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis verifikatif, sebagai alat analisis digunakan Sctruktural Equational Model yang diproses dengan Software SmartPLS2. Hasil analisis membuktikan bahwa pada SMAN 8 Kota Pekanbaru kecerdasan emosional guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; kecerdasan emosional guru berpengaruh terhadap budaya sekolah; kecerdasan emosional guru berpengaruh terhadap komitmen guru; budaya sekolah berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; komitmen guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; kecerdasan emosional guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa melalui budaya sekolah; dan kecerdasan emosional guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa melalui komitmen guru.
