PERKEMBANGAN TAMAN BACAAN MASYARAKAT (TBM) DI KOTA PADANG
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa perkembangan taman bacaan masyarakat (TBM) di Kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan TBM di Kota Padang terbilang lambat hal ini terlihat selama 45 (empat puluh lima) tahun dari tahun 1965 hingga berdiri ada 16 (enam belas) TBM yang ada di Kota Padang yaitu tahun 1965, 1968, 1975, 1980, 1983, 1985, 1997 dan 2005 hanya berdiri 1 (satu) TBM tiap tahunnya (6,25%). Barulah pada tahun 1989, 2008, 2009 dan 2010 tumbuh 2 (dua) TBM (12,5%).
