Rabies is one of fatal zoonotic disease and is still become a common health problem in Indonesia, including Riau as an endemic area. Low vaccination coverage among rabies-transmitting animal and limited public knowledge are the main factors contributing to the high risk of disease transmission. This community service activity aimed to increase public knowledge regarding rabies and the management of bites from rabies-transmitting animals, as well as to improve rabies vaccination coverage. The community service was conducted in Sari Galuh and Pandau Jaya Villages, Kampar Regency, through rabies vaccination and also held Communication, Information, and Education (IEC). Evaluation of IEC was conducted with pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The result of this community service was given benefits, which were raising people’s comprehention and also increasing number of rabies-transmitting animals vaccinations into 100 animals, consisting of dogs, cats, monkey, and civets.
