Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian (JIP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles on agricultural advances and local land resources for global dissemination. In this issue, we published six articles that were very strictly selected by reviewers who are competent in their fields. The chosen cover was research on germination test methods and planting media from the Artemisia annua L. seeds (1 article), downloaded more than 700 times in less than three months. Furthermore, research on the control of Ganoderma sp in oil palm returned to this issue (1 article). In addition, a study on the status of soil-water-rice contamination in agricultural areas near coal plants was also published in this issue (1 article). Meanwhile, the other three articles discussed the effect of natural hormones and soaking time of expired red chili (Capsicum annum L.) seeds (1 article), evaluation of the diversity and progress of long bean selection based on agronomic characteristics, and germination and growth of teak seeds due to differences in concentration and treatment time of immersion of seeds in hydrochloric acid, respectively.
