Jurnal Ilmiah Pertanian (JIP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles on agricultural advances and local land resources for global dissemination. In this issue, we have published ten articles rigorously selected by competent reviewers in their respective fields. The cover article presents research on identifying arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) associated with cassava in six locations in the Manokwari Regency, West Papua, Indonesia (1 article). Additionally, there are articles on the detection and identification of beetle pests in rice warehouses in Mataram City and Central Lombok Regency (1 article), and also the detection of P. manshurica fungus and analysis of the viability and growth of P. manshurica oospores in soybean storage warehouses in Ternate City (1 article), and computational studies predicting chemical compounds that can be used as sunscreens from the kencur plant (1 article). This issue also features a review article that discusses the capability of agricultural land to produce rice as a staple food crop in Situbondo Regency, as well as a research article on determining the actual and potential land suitability classes for porang land in Madiun Regency, Indonesia. The exploration of papaya fermentation in producing sourdough and its potential as a promising quality sourdough donut is also discussed. Two other articles investigate the performance of field agricultural officers in women's farming groups (1 article) and the factors that influence their performance from a personal, competency, and motivation perspective (1 article) in Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Finally, the last article discusses the effect of adding turmeric powder and nitrification probiotics on the productivity and amount of ammonia produced from quail manure.
